    • Type: Comprehensive model for medication management, counseling, and group therapy focused
    • Platform: Videoconferencing
    • Population: LGBTQIA+ clients from adolescent (14yo) to adult.
    • Role: PMHNP provider
    • Program Eval: Access to TH services for my clients including reliable internet access and speed, user-friendly platform for providers to include ease of appointment/scheduling with automated appointment reminders, communication between provider and clients, referral processing [both sending & receiving], and after-hours crisis management. I’d also want a system that includes demo how-to training videos for both provider use and setup, and also for client use. Documentation library for standardized forms, HIPPA compliance, and billing processes all on a protected services software system. Just a well-oiled machine!
    • Legal: Consent to treatment, parent consent for adolescent treatment, HIPPA compliance, professional insurance, physical insurance for office rental.
    • Other Professions: Integrating other community resources such as additional counselors focused on the queer community, safe housing, and building a list of open/affirming/supportive medical professionals in local clinics/hospitals. Community education on LGBTQIA+ crisis interventions including Trevor Project information.
    • Protocols: Business Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Plans (fire, earthquake, active shooter, stalker, etc.).
    • Either through signed paperwork before the appointment or through verbal consent at the beginning of each session. Then to be documented in the patient’s chart.
    • Consent: standardized forms built into the practice software platform and kept in each client’s EMR – renewed every year.
