What is the Telehealth Education Toolkit?
To provide faculty with content and exemplars needed to integrate telehealth across the curriculum for health professions programs
Background and Domains
In 2019, under the umbrella of the Advanced Education Nursing Workforce (ANEW) HRSA grant, a group of over 55 nursing faculty from 22 U.S. states and 32 universities, met to begin the work of developing a telehealth toolkit with the end goal of providing faculty with content and exemplars needed to integrate telehealth across the curriculum for health professions programs. This website is a culmination of that work across several domains of telehealth.
Provide resources that will enable faculty from health professional programs to develop comprehensive, high quality, patient focused learning opportunities for their health professional students in telehealth by providing educational content and exemplars for telehealth education.
Create a national telehealth education toolkit that is available for faculty that seek to prepare healthcare professions students and future providers with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to utilize telehealth to increase the accessibility, effectiveness, and efficiency of healthcare delivery.
