As a Nurse Practitioner student, the telehealth model that would be most appropriate for me to select would be Videoconferencing. This model is most appropriate for primary care because it allows for provider to patient communication for patients who are unable to come into the office due to transportation, communicable disease, or other barriers. The population I would address is primary care patients, and the role I would perform would be the main provider. Legal considerations would be obtaining consent in the form of oral consent prior to the videoconference. This program could be evaluated by a survey that can allow the patient to note what was satisfactory and what can be improved during the meeting.
